I have a copy of this page loose inside my manual opposite the Zenith description - carried out the mod about two years ago - not that it made any difference - I think my Zenith is unwarped.

G'day Incisor https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Brilliant https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ I knew the answer would be simple  Might be worth posting this on REMLR forum, as most of those guys would be running 36 IV's and would have cursed them as I have done

Treat this "fix" with caution. It has been removed from the original website.

According to my carby specialist who knew of the problem from years ago, the hole is supposed to be open. What he did, was countersink slightly the body or bottom plate. Into this he fitted an O ring to seal the hole to the exterior, so if there was any movement it still sealed.

The faces still need to be flatted & a new sealing ring & gasket fitted.

This has been kicked around on various series forums for a number of years.

Proceed at your own risk I would suggest.
