Whilst discussing with 'er indoors, our respective chores and plans for the day, I asked if she wanted to come with me to put on her lotto. “No," she replied "if I win I won't be able to get a pension." :imwithstupid:

After 35 years of marriage I have discovered that women don't have logic in their operating systems.

I worked at DSS before the Assets Test and Deeming was introduced. Numbers of pensioners had large sums in non-interest bearing accounts so they could get the miserable bit of pension. $200,000 & $300,000 term deposits could have brought in far more income than the pension but, no, "I have worked all my life and paid taxes and I want my pension." Didn't they squeal when the assets test and deeming was introduced and the deeming rate was, I think, then 12%. Bye bye pension. We used to wonder where some of these oldies got the dough as in the beginnings of their working lives they would have been getting little more than $20 p.w. and by the 1980's when they reached retiring age $220 - $300 p.w.

Well, we have his and hers chores one of which is emptying the inside bins.
If a bin gets full while I'm not home it jus gets piled on until it overflows , so I ask why didn't you empty the bin ? Of course the response is "that's your job" , so even if I'm not home it's still my job . Yet the outside bins are maybe 4m from the inside bins, and its my fault for not emptying them when they aren't full.

Fella's, we could go on about all the things wrong with our women for hours.
They don't have any sense of Humour, I mean it really is funny when they get into bed & you rolled your platted belt up in there & they think it's a snake, did she think it was funny?
They have no sense of time, I'll just be 5 minutes means you might as well paint the house.
They have no sense of forgiveness, I was only 4 hours late home from the pub & I was not as drunk as she reckons & I did NOT pee in the corner of the bedroom.
They have no idea about the problems we men have, I mean it is impossible to aim straight first thing when you wake up.
They complain a lot. Always tells me I don't help with the kids & when I say I didn't have them a fight starts?
And, why do they roll their eyes when you start telling the story about how your Land Rover managed to get out of the mud flat where 3 Toyotas were stuck?
They do have excellent memories though. Bring up something I allegedly did 33 years ago. This goes back to the no forgiveness.
They have no sense of continuity, we will be talking about something & finish the conversation. 3 weeks latter she will, out of the blue, take up the conversation again (from where we ended it) & get cranky when I have no idea what she is on about.
And, finally, everything has to be rush, rush with women. I said I would do it, I will do it & really reminding me every 8 months is very near harassment!

Love the old girl though!!

I most certainly don't think women are dumb or stupid they just think a little differently to blokes and their priorities are usually quite different.
We may be able to fix anything mechanical and can be a wiz at fishing But fess up fellas how many of you have stuffed up the washing or have needed a calm mind to find those missing sox or your phone?
Women are great and I recon most of us would be up **** creek without them [thumbsupbig]

Absolutely mate!
They bring a balance to us Testosterone fuelled individuals...
And they can be very capable, Mrs Tombie has maintained and serviced her vehicles for years - only the current one is being dealer serviced (corporate).
She’s also at work tonight, managing a Production shift in a Mining operation - the only female Team Manager they’ve had...
So don’t discredit their capabilities! They can make many of us seem like Apes ...

There are of course plenty of benefits to being a pensioner, such as free public transport, concessions on rates etc. Depending on how well you invest a lottery win you could be better off staying poor. It also saves on the endless queue of needy relatives banging on the door. Being rich is for people who can afford lawyers.
Logical, see?

To be fair, a woman's "five minutes" is the same as a man's when he says that's how much longer he'll be down the pub.

I was always under the impression that women and men were meant to complement each other. In today's society I seem to be a bit of a dinosaur in that regard!

Indeed. The missus has bunged up her shoulder and you should see her roll her eyes as she tries to get me to see how cooking meals is supposed to happen. I tell ya, this womens work takes some deep logical thinking, beyond a mere grease monkey's ability.

Ian, I liked it so much I sent it on to everyone on my e-mail mailing lists. I did get a couple of terse replies from women who don't ever seem to get a joke.
It actually portrays the difference in the way men's and women's minds work. Any man who has been married any length of time can identify with many of those sentiments.

That's because we understand the difference between common scene and logic and where female fit in to the subject

At the end of the day men have logic and women have 'feminine intuition' ........................ and never the twain shall meet.

A friend of mine who's recently retired from the airforce has been married 50 years and he says the secret is saying 'Yes dear' and 'No dear' in the right sequence. [bigrolf]

Yes sadly as a certain survey has shown. I won't go any further for risk of being banned!:rulez:
As the Bible says in Genesis 1:27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

I was at the pub the other night for a friends 50th. A table of girls in their 20's behind us were quite loud, one with bright green hair especially so. They were all, lets say tipsy, and having a bit of a gabfest. Ms Green Hair declared (the old mantra) "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle". One of the other girls on the table was quick with her reply - "a man needs a feminist wife like a fish needs a hook". The whole table erupted in laughter and Ms Green Hair was quiet for a long time after that.
Obviously, there are still girls out there who realise that women and men complement each other, and it's not a competition between the sexes. There might be some hope left after all...
