Is it my imagination? But it seems that of late the RSS News Robot (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/members/12732.html)threads seem to be taking over the forum. For sure occasionally there is some interesting information but generally there is not much in them.
So is this a result of changes in Forum settings or is it that just at the moment there is a lot of LR related stuff in the news so is being picked up by the 'Bot"

It's not your imagination Garry..
They say Robots will take lots of our jobs...... lots like it's starting on AULRO. [bighmmm] [biggrin]
On a serious note, there was a change related to RRS recently and I'm guessing the rampant robot may be an unintended consequence of that....
We'll investigate it, cause i think you are right some of it is interesting..... but some of it is robotic verbal diarrhea!

Is there a way for individuals to turn off seeing the RSS news feeds?

It may be related to the time of year as there have been a number of recent/current motor shows and end of year awards. Which I suppose is a good thing if JLR is appearing because its products are winning things.

This is getting out of hand with these RSS posts, Something akin to a Spam filter to remove these would be fantastic.

The ones I have looked at took me to a Times paywall where I had to register to continue.

Thanks for that - does seem to be recent and unfortunately - I guess it is hard to weed out the good from the bad.

Hi,
I tried muting the bot, but it still shows the headers. If I try and read the post, it offers to unmute it .
Mostly I can't open the links so it is not of much interest if the info is not there.
Cheers

I'm not getting attacked by any robots but what really is annoying is all the ads! At the moment it's the Australian Army so sort of relevant at the moment.

Oh oh. Try again.
Nope, not going to work. Search "caution: rogue robots" on ewetube.
