Sydney Get together drive in the new year any one?

Been busy with my transition from my White 2012 110 (Jock sold) to Blue 2012 110 with poptop and haven't done any landroving in months which is bugging me. That said I am nearly finished or will be finished by NY and wondering if the Sydney cohort (well open to everyone really) want to get together for drive day. Nandoo mate hope you still have your rig and can join.

That could work, I have an uncle in Katoomba, so might visit him before / afterwards.
Are you taking family with you? Mine may or may not be keen to come roving, but pretty sure they'll want to come up to the mountains to see Uncle.
I haven't done anything off road up there, so no good as a leader, but happy to follow along.

I'll try to stay in touch as I'm flat strap atm and then have to try to get sorted for Tassie on the 27th; yoicks, not much time left!!

I’d be interested in a day out but any time in January is unlikely at this stage as we have relos out from the UK until early February.

By the time you do the round trip from Sydney, Caves to Caves is a pretty long day. You might want to think about camping somewhere along the way.

I would be interested. Done this a few times before but usually include yerranderie in the loop and camp over there which adds extra interest otherwise it is a very long day if starting in Sydney.

I think I might have bitten too much with the swap over and the progress is painfully slow, not for technical reasons either :( , but this trip has to happen regardless even with a half finished truck. Will contribute a bottle of single malt and camp oven cooked chicken curry if we decide to camp overnight.

I think the only date-bomb I need to dodge is the few days before and after Chinese New Year (Feb 16). Wife has relatives coming to Oz to celebrate CNY with us.

Thats the w/e of 3rd/4th Feb. If the majority are up for it then please go ahead. Its risky for me to commit to that date - sorry.
