Oil Filter and sump spanner sizes

Hi, new to Freelanders, was hoping someone could advise me on the size of spanner/socket to use on the 2007 Freelander 2 , Ford/Renault/Citreon TD4 diesel, oil filter and sump plug. Planning to do my own oil and filter changes but have discovered varying information on the web.

Thanx in advance for any help.The sump plug is a 19mm. The oil filter is a 27mm. There is not a lot of room for the oil filter. I use a 27mm spanner cut in half. It's a slow process. A lot of people have a 27mm flexi head ratchet spanner
