i have this in the tech section ,but thought i would put it in here as well since some dont go in there, and i need all the advice i can get, these fuel injection thingys are all new to me,anyway, here goes,
ok,have got the motor in thumper back together, but having probs starting her up,have got spark to the plugs, compression in the cylinders and fuel up to the injector area, but no VROOM VROOM out the exhaust, suspect either injectors not functional thru either faulty mechanicals or electrickery probs,am at wits end ,so close yet so far
any sugestions, and keep them nice please

Hi Ferno
Try squirting CRC or similar into the aircleaner,if it fires momentarily it means the fire is in there but no fuel.
May help troubleshoot.

fly spray can work as well but the only problem is the combustion is not controlled when spraying stuff into the inlet manifold

 ok ,it turns out it must have been the electrickery, possible bad /oily earth connection for injector loop, after removing the top half of the inlet thingy and delivering copious amounts of crc, thumper fired temporarily,GOOD sign, fault finding time, back tack some wiring and find the earthS ,yes two of them from the injector loop run to the back of the left head to two different bolts ,upon removal there was plenty oil in the wire and connectors ,so copiuos spraying of the crc and a wipe down got them clean and replaced nice and tight, then a test crank and BINGO!!!,we have ignition,so everything put back in place for a further test firing and all is good https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ ,now to get a lower rad hose put the rad back in,find a "triangle" brand tyre to match the other three then off to the rwc, again, then hopefully rego time ,phew ,all this for a stuffed thermostat, seems on testing the therm in a cup of boiling water it refused to open ,so am assuming that it is what caused all the overheating and pressure blowout of the rad hose resulting in the calamatous events of the last few weeks, now back to the original plan........ 8O

8) happy days,
its like the old days when you had to fix your mates car , so you could go out on saturday night,
bloody alliance to pommy s stuff, lend lease program and all that stuff.
good to hear thumper is rabbiting about now and hope to see it burrowing in the near future,
just keep a tight rein on it and watch it doesn't burrow into something it can't get out of.
god save england. 'cause no one else will.

 happy days ,yes indeed, have been like a bear with a sore head since it went all upside down, now tis fixed ,all is left is to take up where we left off, have door handle fixed ,so one new tyre to match (triangle brand)degrease the engine (severly needed now) then off to the rwc bloke ,then rego, then i can go for a play down the condo and spicers western side, shall give a hoy when ready if anyone interested 8)
