As can be seen from some of the piccies ( and they're good ones too ) - Why bother taking the easy way when there's a wash out to negotiate

you need to brush up on recoveries every now and then.....
an all landy day doesnt give you the opportunity to do that.......

It looks like a lot of fun.
I don't see any winches - not needed?
Lots of wheel travel on the Defender.
Was that Toyo struggling to keep up with the Landys? https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Shhh! We don't want to encourage the Japs. Much better to wander up to the Jap driver and say something like, "You did remarkably well there, considering your vehicular handicap"! https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

but there were a few hairy bits...and one lurch just refused to even attempt.....
a big mud bog......which ace drove through as though he was on the highway.....

Con does pretty well when he comes to the BBQ's in his cruiser, mind you it has alot to do with driver skill rather than vehiclular ability. There are some bits he got up but not quite as easy, ie some of the wheel articulation bits, but con is very good at picking the right line.
It was a top day out, but **** me was it hot, i dont think i have every sweated so much in my life.
I will see if i can dig up some photos of the bog hole Zook is on about, i went through it on the BBQ weekend aswell so there will be photos from that, i think everyone took video this time. Matt

We were in land rovers that was the easy way. My mates and the hilux parked it after lunch because the tracks were to tough (granted he didnt want to damage the boses truck) and there was no way he would have gotten up those washouts, he drove around those. Matt
