After my vw caravelle nearly stuck me up in Kangaroo Valley on Thursday I decided it had to go. Darn auto box stuck in 2nd gear and I crawled out of the valley doing 40k/h and 4000 rpm. Reached the top and the box worked normally, and has done since. What have I done.. well.. have bought a new 4wd. Not landrover but Isuzu D-Max. Picking it up next Tuesday provided the vw makes it there. The package they offered was too good a deal..Tow pack, tub liner, hard canopy, wind deflectors, bonnet protector and a few other bits and pieces for $3000 extra. What really made the deal was the trade in value. '03 vv caravelle with 250,000k. needs so many repairs BUT they offered me $5000 trade in.
Nearly fell of the chair.
Oh well...back to fwdriving.

Jim without doubt my 2014 dmax was a pearler. Towed our 3t van easily i remapped it and fitted a bigger hpd front mount intercooler and was up to a reliable 500nm. Still got 9l/100 highway use and 17/100 to 19/100 towing the block of flats.
The only thing that made me sell it and go back to a lr product was that i just didn't connect with it. I liked it but didn't love it like i do my l322.

Did you get the new 6 spd auto one?
