Hi All,

I can pair my phone but have to repair every time I turn off the car again.

Any ideas?

Have tried searching.

Don't know for sure, but unless it's a dummy button it would be a logical conclusion to assume bluetooth is there. Try turning on bluetooth discovery on your phone it should show the car as a possible connection. Then try pairing your phone and see what happens. Don't know if that model needs bluetooth turned on. My 2013 HSE didn't need me to do anything like that but maybe the salesman had already done it when he went through the hand over of the car.

Good luck.

My phone is Android so I don't know if that makes a difference but it theoretically shouldn't.

All I could suggest is to delete the pairing and try to pair it the other way. What I mean is that if you paired it from the phone to the car, try it the other way around - car to phone or vice versa.

Can’t get to any pairing menu on the screen. Haven’t tried to use voice control yet

1. Which screen are you referring to?

2. "My guessed passcode was 0000 not 2121" Do you mean GUEST here? If so it would point to you not having paired the phone as the owner and what you are possibly seeing is a "guest" being allowed to use the connection. Just hypothesizing here. [smilebigeye]

Hi.

This is following text is from a pdf copy of the handbook.

Not exactly sure it's for your model but it should be close enough to guide you.

The formatting is out a bit as the manual is in two columns but you'll get the gist of it.

BLUETOOTH SETUP
If your mobile phone supports this wireless
feature, it will need to be bonded to the vehicle.
The bonding process will also be described in
your mobile phone instructions.
1. With the vehicle ignition on, select the
Bluetooth feature on your mobile phone.
2. Start the Search function on your mobile
phone. This search process may vary from
one handset/manufacturer to another
(consult your mobile phone instructions
for further details). Typically, when
searching for other wireless devices the
search range is 10 metres or less.
3. The text LAND ROVER will appear on your
mobile phone device list. This should be
selected. LAND ROVER can be
personalised by the user (e.g. the vehicle
registration number).
4. The screen will display a PIN depending on
the model of phone being bonded. Enter
the PIN displayed.
5. When the PIN is accepted, the system will
allow you to use the Bluetooth mode.
Note: A maximum of five mobile phones can be
bonded to the vehicle.
Note: If more than one paired Bluetooth phone
is in range, then the system will automatically
select the last phone used in Bluetooth mode (if
present). If the last connected phone is not
present the system will move through
previously connected phones until a bonded
phone is discovered.
Note: The searching/bonding process may
take some time to complete, especially if more
than one phone is bonded to the system.
Note: Priority can be given to other phones by
de-selecting Bluetooth mode on your mobile
phone.
If Bluetooth bonding is attempted when there
are no free slots available, a pop up message
will appear stating that there are none available.
Press OK to confirm and to return to the Select
phone to Debond screen.
Selecting Debond opens the Select phone to
Debond screen. Right navigation on the
selected phone opens the Select phone to
Debond screen. Selecting No returns to the
Select phone to Debond screen. Selecting yes
debonds the phone and then returns to the
Select phone to Debond screen. Left
navigation cancels back to the previous screen
displayed.
Note: The debond option is not available if no
phones are bonded

My new or replacement 2009 D3 SE has phone and voice and TV. A spare Bluetooth adapter was in the glove box. ( should have given me a hint of prior issues perhaps)

Phone was connected and everything working. Ok voice control was not keen on my accent and often gives very amusing results. Phone Call Wife might get a delete note pad or something very unexpected [biggrin]

Bluetooth connection from the car side disappeared. Checked with a few other devices.

Anyone know where the blue tooth connection bit which is about the size of a box of matches. It has a mini usb connection on the back and plug for connection but connection to where is my problem. I have had a quick look at Bluetooth Exchange (http://www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk/)

Which might be the place for me to start looking. Pretty sure mine is factory issue not after market.

or as covered here I think Link (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-and-4-a/132806-obd-ii-reader-scanner.html)

My phone can connect to it but it is not the cars bluetooth connection.
