Hey Everyone
I have a white Evoque, and was wondering what the best way to get my rims painted black.
Should I go Powder Coat or Paint?
Has anyone had any experience with these?
Any information is much appreciated!

Steel or alloy?

Powder coat is a brittle paint. If painting steel wheels, the wheels flex and fractures develop on the powder coating. You then get ingress of moisture and a fine web of rust lines on the steel rim.

Enamel is a better choice for wheels.

Paint for the forementioned reasons - it is more flexible than powdercoat.

Powder coating involves baking the wheels to cure the coating. Heat-treating alloy wheels is potentially dangerous, and so powder coating should never be attempted in the absence of advice from the wheel manufacturer.
