y'know last night we did all our Christmas celebrations with those that mattered instead of today , where our immediate family had a light breakfast in Surfers Paradise.
I got my youngest son to purchase a lovely bottle of Stanten and Killeens aged port from Rutherglen to finish up with last night.
We ate and drank so much that the port got forgotten. Also a beautiful cheese platter with honeycomb and strawberry puree didn't get touched.
How sad...........
How did the rest of you go? any anecdotes?

Merry Christmas mate...
I took in some Christmas Pudding with custard for my Crews Crib break last night.
Mrs Tombie hosted a shift breakfast for her Crew.
We then finished up this morning and have been asleep most of today...
The joys of Shift 🤪
Our Son and Daughter-in-Law will arrive around 19:30 for dinner.

Marry Christmas,
Darwin to Brisbane on the silver budgie , hire car and drive to Tamworth to see our youngest daughter and her partner.
spent last night with a bottle of red sitting on the front wall watching a lightening show almost as good as we get at home in Darwin.
Spent a great day relaxing, enjoying a feast and a few cold ones.
very lucky to live in this great country.
Cheers Ean
