134096134059Sold for nz$370-00 on Trade Me /Ebay
I will try and up load a full capture if I can .
Pardon my ignorance , the grille auctioned looks to be a 26 hole across .
Ive gone crosseyed counting,.
I will ask the SERIES 1brains trust ,at what stage did the early series1s change from 26 to 27 hole grille? The main thing is the full grille 26 or 27 hole numbers both look terrific!
Actually thats not a bad price considering somebody paid AU.$695- for a full grille on ebay .au a couple of years ago and Im not if it was sure if it was 26 or 27.

There were 48 and a half. That sounds a bit strange. As far as I know the earliest ones had 27 full squares across, followed by the normal 26 square ones..W.

I bought a 48 grill a few years ago for $5 then swaped it for a capstan winch about 6 months later. I didn't know it was a 48 grill when I bought it & hung it on my garage wall untill a friend spotted it & asked were I got it & made me the offer , he needed it for the 48 he was restoring.

Grill vs. grill (from Wiki)
As a noun (http://grammarist.com/grammar/nouns/), grill refers to (1) a cooking surface using parallel metal bars, (2) a device that cooks with a grill, or (3) a restaurant offering grilled food. As a verb (http://grammarist.com/grammar/verbs/), it means (1) to grill, or (2) to question relentlessly. Grille, which is only a noun, usually refers to a grating used as a screen or barrier on a window or on the front of an automobile.
