new NSW rego no longer accepting old engineer reports

Hi,
just heard that it looks like NSW RMS will no longer accept old engineering reports for modified vehicles when trying top re-register and get a blue slip ie you will have to go through the engineer approval process again--does anyone know more on this as I am sure those with current eng certs will not be happy! Where did you hear that?

Do you have a link to what you are talking about on the RMS website, after all, if it is RMS policy, it would be there.

Modified or individually constructed vehicles currently registered with an ECS certificate noted on the registration certificate are not affected.

Hi Mick,
yes this is what I believe I was just told about--hope its not as daunting as it might be? A friend just mentioned it to me as he was about to put his car onto Conditional Rego as it is modified but apparently he thought he could not get a Blue Slip without getting his engineer reports re done$.

From what I gather, they are just changing systems.
The way I read it, if your mates car is not currently registered, yes, it will need a new engineers report to register it. If your mates car is currently registered with the old engineering report noted then he does not need a new engineers report to get a blue slip.
