Hi all,
I'm currently holidaying my way through Victoria and, like most of us I think, my wife and I use the lower tailgate as a kind of small table for preparing food or just sitting things on. I've noticed however that this kind of use takes its toll on the condition of the carpet that lines the inside of the tailgate.
Just wondering if anyone has come up with something themselves or has purchased something that's solves this? Off the top of my head - some thick plastic or rubber cut to shape and stuck on with Velcro would work...Although I havent had much luck with Velcro sticking to that kind of carpet. Keen to see what you all think.
Cheers,
Brad.

We got some non slip rubber/vinyl from Clarke Rubber, cut it to shape and then used velcro on it and the hard surrounds. Simple, low cost and works

Does the rubber bunch up when you close the gate though since that inner flap moves freely over the width of the tailgate?
