View Full Version : Message centre - how to get warnings back?

Hi all

I got two warnings come up this week in my 2014 D4 whilst driving down to and back from the beach. One amber and one red. Turned out to be low water in the washer reservoir (ironic, because it was raining torrentially) and a rear door ajar. I missed the messages when they first came up and had to pull over and stop and re-start the car to see what the issue was. So, is there a way of getting the messages back into the message centre or are they always momentary? I've checked Topix, my manual and done an advanced search on here but there doesn't seem to be anything on this.

Thanks in advance, and apologies if there's a simple answer.

ps. have now done about 6,500k in the 4 months since purchase - it's a very comfortable tourer!

Press the OK button on the steering wheel. There's an option for Show Warnings.

Thanks - that's already on, but it seems that the warnings don't stay on screen. Would pressing the left stalk end bring them back?

I assumed you wanted to bring them back to read again to confirm what they were but you actually want the whole warning to stay on the screen? I don't think that's possible because you can always bring the current warnings back to re-read using the OK button. Makes sense to me because how can more than one warning stay active if you have multiple? Hence the recall system to scroll through multiple (if required).

Yes, I wanted to read them again rather than have them on permanently - so, while the warning is on the screen, if I go back into the menu and click OK it'll show the current warnings? Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow.

By way of follow-up, thanks, this worked.
