Has Adaptive Dynamics been standard or an option with the TDV6 engine in Australia? I previously thought it was standard on all L405 but reportedly not in the UK.

Hi Graeme,
Not sure about today, but when I ordered my 2015.5 TDV6 Vogue it was not available on any TDV6's only TDV8 and SC models.
I'm pretty happy without it. (What you haven't experienced you don't miss ?)

They appear n/a on the current LRA build specs either. One consolation - the replacement cost is around half that of CVDs.

Graeme, I just checked my car on Topix and “continuous variable damping” is listed. It does not have adaptive dynamics like my DS has. The manual also talks about CVD’s but also nothing about Adaptive Dynamics.

In some publications Adaptive Dynamics appears to be just another name for CVDs but presumably not, possibly including features such as braking particular wheels when cornering that my L322 doesn't have. The TDV6 having CVDs makes sense of the virtually same shock cost for the 2 different front shocks fitted depending on the engine but no other version.

On the DS, adaptive dynamics adds dynamic mode to the Terrain Response settings. Dynamic mode firms up the shocks as well as making the dashboard red to show off the so called sporting ability. Apart from the dashboard, I haven't really noticed anything much different!
