I posted my Defender in the Members Ride. Also its locked for replies. I will post updated pics etc on that one.
Not sure how many people read Members Ride, so will put our travels and tribulations in this one.
So here is my Defender.
I brought it Queensland, originally it came from WA. Was parked up for a few years, because the transfer case ran out of oil and seized up.
It still has some problems as we travel halve way around Australia..... Currently in Adelaide and leaving on Monday to Port Lincoln. Only place I could find to do repairs to Landie in short notice.... Hope they can do a good job with out costing a fortune..,,,,
Clutch slips sometimes. Hasn't done it for about a week.
Seems to overheat at times. For example, the other day travelling gauge went to three qaurters, then after stopping for lunch, it went back to halve for the rest of the day.
Brakes dont appear to be working properly, suspsect a booster or vacum problem.
Think transfer or gearbox may be leaking. I know standard fair, just need to keep watch on it.
Lift pump may have a leak, so will get it swapped out if it is.
Tyres rub due to wrong offset. Havent found cheap spacers yet.
