Hey all. I’m thinking my 2013 Disco 4 could do with a Nav update. It seems that the latest is ‘Aus 22”. But I can’t find a date of the update data. Can anyone that has done the update shed some light on how up to date Aus 22 is? Much appreciated...

Posted this recently in another thread https://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-and-4-a/236241-d4-satellite-navigation-update.html:
Note that the latest version is Land Rover - Australia 22/11 HDD Update and is dated 2015. It costs about $210 shipped and is locked to your VIN, so can't be used on any other vehicle. It takes about an hour to load and the engine needs to be running, so I'd do the upgrade when starting on a longish trip (as long as you already know the way!). I loaded mine mid 2017 and it was already woefully out of date. It would be better if you can wait for the next release.
Others here prefer using their smartphone and Google Maps.

As an update, I emailed Navicom about an update and got this somewhat disjointed reply on 2nd Jan 2018:
Thank you for taking the time to contact TomTom Customer Support. My name is Ghouse and I am happy to assist you.

I am sorry to inform you that we do not have any update available for the new version released for your car model as if now but the moment the new version is going to be available it will get relatively updated first on the website.

Please be informed that the TomTom Whereis release new map update once in a year as per the market requirement and availability.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience
It is a pleasure serving you.

Make of that what you will.

Thanks DieselLSE. Appreciate the heads up! Apologies I failed to find the previous thread. Looks like waiting will be the order of the day. Cheers.

Not sure if it's the same thread the dieselLSE gave a link for but for me his link is going to a forum home screen.

Anyway, here it is.

D4 Satellite Navigation Update (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-and-4-a/236241-d4-satellite-navigation-update.html)

I decided not to go the update route and bought a Garmin instead. See my post #16 in the thread for my reasons.

In my MY2016 SE, it didn't need to load in one continuous drive - it picked up where it left off on the last short trip.

And although the Aus22 mapset is out of date, it is 3 years more current than my 2016 new vehicle load.
