I asked my mechanic (Sovereign Motors - Adel) this same question when I was looking to buy a 2001 130 TD5 with 210,000Km on it.
He was quite confident that if it had a full service history then there's no reason to be worried by the KMs. They have got a few high KM TD5s in their client base and there was no particular problem that he cited on these types of vehicles.
I eventually found a similar one with 130,000Km on it for less money, so now he is tidying that up for me as we speak. Mainly oil leaks from the transfer case and slop in the drivetrain from worn shaft end thingys.
Obviously the higher KMs should be reflected in the asking price.....

Hi Noz, the diesel engine is not fully run in till it’s done at least 100,000 so that one is only just run in and a good inspection should be able to tell you if anything else is in need of work.
My diesel RR is nearly 3 and a half with 145,000 on it and is just purring along.

mine had 160000km (TDi though) and had a good service history. As long as it is documented go for it. Matt

LOL!! 160k seems to be a magic number around here. Ours had 162,000 on it when we got it. Smooth as.
Ours has been serviced every 10,000 since new, and when in the Kimberly or somewhere else dusty, it's had an oil & filter change done every 5,000km just for safety.
So.... if it has a well-documented history, and it's otherwise straight, there's no reason not to grab it https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Hmmm even I like the Audi, its a fast little bugger 14.6 @ 99 mph 1/4 mile and its only done 50000ks.
Thats the problem I think the Audi is in better than new condition and to buy a 2000 - 2001 Discovery it will more than likley have a bit of wear and tear. She is very cosmetic
A bit disappointing but such is life 8)

My Freelander diesel is coming up on 200,000km - the engine runs great and only blows a little (diesel not oil) smoke on cold starts. A td5 being a little less complex should be even better.
