Driving yesterday late afternoon highlighted the poor glass condition and really needs replacing.
Is the glass a basic 3mm toughened panel. If so, I could probably source it from a local glazier.
Is anyone using a laminate?

Laminated glass is easier to obtain and also to get cut to fit. It is also safer.

It's meant to have the 'automotive' mark etched on it, it will fail a roadworthy without it.
I think the main difference is that the edges are ground & polished after cutting.
If you find someone who makes windscreens for earthmoving equipment (usually flat glass) they can cut & etch the screen.

Alternatively they are 20GBP from the UK. I shipped 4 without any problems some years ago but the suppliers will not insure glass.

Most of the windscreen suppliers can source & fit but they can be very, very expensive.

Local glazier on the coast charged $75 per panel. Glass was automotive 6.76mm laminate and has required AS etch stamp on the bottom corner. All edges were rounded with a disc and am very pleased with the result. Dropped of old glass as templates at lunch and picked up new panels at 3:00 pm.
If anyone wants contact details of the glazier, just pm me.

When I was still fleaing a few used cars I came across this problem. In the past I just went to a glazier and got him to cut and fit some Triplex. The ADR's changed and auto glass had to have the mark of Cain on it. My glazier didn't want to do it with unbranded Triplex. A few phone calls and I was directed to a guy who made and sold things like decals for auto glass, compliance plates, Vin plates, etc. No worries. I paid a modest amount for several decals on a tape. The guy has since died, alas. Very handy chap for those in the shonky end of the motor trade.
