First Grand child born this morning. 4 weeks premature ,a little girl, a little slice of heaven. Life is indeed a miracle. Mother doing well, Father, our son, totally wrapped. Even with all the insanity in this World, life goes on. All involved are aware of how lucky she is, born here , and not in Syria, for example.

Congrats, Bob. You have a way to go, I have seven, although I am cheating a little. Five were Jan's, but I am counted as their grand dad. It is a wonderful experience. Make the most of it.

Farts are ageless. Therefore Bob is just a fart like the rest of us.

Congrats Bob, I've got a few, and they are special in many ways,....but not the pooey nappies,...with which I do not get involved.
And yes, "Syria" & the likes,....I am thankful everyday that I was not born into that "environment".
Enjoy, Pickles.

A sophisticated replica of James Bond, at least in my own mind. But after being humbled by the miracle of birth, I realise going to old fart is a promotion. Now my mission is to be the best Poppy I can be .

Mary and I won't spoil her much......[bigwhistle]She has character, even at less than a day old. A very determined little look on her face, " you blokes think you are in charge, well, we'll see about that ". Or it could have been wind.

Congratulations, they certainly are fun, that is once they get past the mustard factory stage.[bigsad][wink11]
I have two,a boy about 4,girl around 2 and a half.
They say some amazing things.
Yesterday the boy told me 'the earth is flat, and i won't fall off the edge cause it is really really really cold at both ends'[biggrin]
HE was on about atoms last week......
And whale sharks the week before, they do grow to 20meters,i heard him say about 300 times...[smilebigeye]
Certainly fun and games.
And Tombie,i was the same,a bit apprehensive before they arrived, but you just go with the flow, easy as.
Mrs Tombie will know what to do,Mrs Scarry certainly did sort things out on occasions.
It sort of becomes a new stage in your life,i love having them over.

When I school it was expected that the retirement age would begin a t 55 , so as to free up employment for the younger generation. Now with that magical number approaching in days , I look back and think of now. Not that I ever expected to get this far , 30 then 40 were bad enough, and beyond not likely due to silly mis adventures. With years of uninspiring drudgery to go , it really makes me feel old less enthused for the next day. So I guess I am an old fart💀

Per the PM, I have to go down tomorrow, to enquire for my son, who is in the same position as you. I will pass on any info. Remember, the only way is up.
