Ready to do the Air bag conversion on the 130.
Ive done some reading and am well aware of the Airbag man kit at around 1370 plus shipping.

Ive looked up the truckspring info and have the part numbers which come to 370 AUD plus shipping.
About 60 for line and fittings, bolts, which are easily sourced local.

Does anyone know if the brackets can be sourced separately for a reasonable $ or have brackets they wish to sell?

Breaking down the kit, (not denying some profit for development) but just cant see the apparent $900 asking for the mounting brackets.
I recall seeing pics and dimensions for the brackets here somewhere but cant seem to find them again.

thanks

I brought the kit as it was a straight bolt on....yes top dollar, but suited me.

I’m sure there is a thread for the mounts........

Yep..will do.
I’ve done some changes on Tim’s drawing for top plates to suit the W01-358-5422 units
This is apparently the units supplied in the kit.?
Weeds can you confirm your top bracket total height is 65mm pls if you have a moment?

I am getting these laser cut in the next week or so and am having 3 full sets done, with additional top plates to suit the longer W01-358-5426 bags (Tim’s original drwg )

Mine are 65mm, although a 130 owner who used Tim’s drawing started with 52mm but adjusted the bracket to 72mm.

I did the same thing and made my brackets up a couple of years ago.....I can help with dimensions and/or templates as I will be pulling them out in the next week to re-coat the chassis.

Thanks Fubar. I’m all sorted now for the main dimensions.
Seems the bracket height is subject to some discussion/opinion.
I’m assuming due to the bags rubbing reported on a few earlier fitments?
I would appreciate this dimension on yours when you have a moment.
I’m running Koni Raids on my 130 and with 216 mm shock travel, either truckspring will work ok but interested in anyone’s preference.

For my info, which bags did you choose?

I have to look at the bags when I get home tonight....long forgotten now.

I remembered I had a few pics on the PC I'm on at the moment. I run Koni Raids also...I think.

I've never had anything rub on my set up.

Brackets now sorted and due back from laser cutters next week.
I have sets done for myself and a friends 110, plus another two full sets.
Optioned two different top plates to suit either W01-358-5422 and 5712 or W01-358-5426 bag top plate type.
The 5712 is almost right in the middle of the others two in length, it has no internal bump stop.

Im just checking Tim is ok with me posting up his drawing before i post it.
Time to chase up a D2 sls fob or switch kit from the UK to complete the set up.

Sorry for the thread revival, I couldnt PM for some reason.

Im based in the UK and I am looking to fit some W01-358-5422 air springs to my Defender.
Do these only fit on the rear of 110s?
Also do you have any pics of yours installed?

Sorry guys id let my subscription lapse so have no PM space.
Should be sorted now.
110 and 130 can use the same brackets and bags.
Bag choice really comes down to personal preference and choice of bracket supplier vs mount height.
Something else you needed?

I was wondering if you had any more pics of your install?
I have asked TimNZ about the drawing he had for the brackets as im based in the UK so drawings are a little easier to send lol
Im mainly collecting info for my rebuild as im getting near needing to make a rolling chassis so any advice would be appreciated!

I wont be anywhere near it or drwg files for quite a few months.
There are a few pics floating around of others on another thread.

I used Tim's design, but had rubbing on both the chassis and also the spring hanger at the top. I ended up changing the spacing to ~72mm to take care of the spring hanger rub, and offset the top plate to take care of the chassis rub.

I also welded a nut under he centre hole in the bottom plate, as I thought maybe the 6mm plate might no be enough thread (but probably overkill).
