Hi everybody,
My FL2 has a split injector hose, and I'm getting it replaced at ATV Automotive in Five Dock.
I thought I would share this as the initial warning I had was the 'Reduced Engine Performance' message lighting up on the LCD screen, with a loss of power.
Initially I thought it might have been a bad batch of fuel, and I was prepared to change the fuel filter, but when I took it to ATV, Johnathan ran the diagnostic tool, which showed a MAP error. Then, pumping some gas through the air system, he found an air leak on the injector hose behind the radiator. Apparently there's a weak point on the plastic part that can split and leak air.
When I initially searched online for 'Reduced Engine Performance', there appeared to be multiple things it could have referred to. It was worth taking it to a LR mechanic for the diagnostic, than simply guessing it was a fuel issue - which wouldn't have solved my problem. But thanks to all the previous posts on this issue, which gave me some idea what to look for.
I've only had the FL for 5 months (second-hand) and it otherwise works a dream.
