For the D3 owners,
Anyone seen this stuff (beside the ARB bar)?
http://www.landroverparts.us/LandRoverLR3/...ndRoverLR3.html (http://www.landroverparts.us/LandRoverLR3/LandRoverLR3.html)
The rear wheel carrier works out to be about AU$1400. It seems mightly expensive for what it is.
For Stevo68 and his 19" wheels this might be a necessary option when you get the big MT's for the V8 Beast and the spare wont fit anymore https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ .
The under body and radiator protection looks worthwhile but a bit expensive.
Beside the costs for the gear they won't ship overseas.

Ooh yeah wouldnt that be a treat. Great stuff, hopefully in time we will get some more after market gear. Speaking of tyres etc, got a quote from my LR dealer for 18 inch rims, hold ya breath $1649 a rim, yyyyyyeeeeoooouuuccccchhhhhh. Bloke I deal with suggested looking for some aftermarket rims, I concur :? . Also Goodyear got back to me, no more MTRs in my size coming into the country  , so the journey continues,

If you dont want or need allloy wheels you can get steel one custom made
Eastern wheel works. around $200.00 each maybe more for odd size.

Wasnt aware of that. I want to keep the alloys and most likely run 19's for onroad and if I can get 18's run them offroad with offroad tyres, not ideal but better than popping the current tyres at $435 a pop,

Steve, LR wanted $1200 ea for the 17" D3 rim and I got a set of aftermarket for $300 ea. from Performance Wheels - Style BB6. Thanks to Hiline
Get in touch with Performance Wheels and ask them if they can make 18*8 with LR offset, stud pattern and load rating to suit your D3. They don't have any 4WD rims in 18" but have a passenger car one in 18*8.
http://www.performancewheels.com.au/passenger.htm
OR try
GMAX Wheels - M168. They make a 17*8 suitable for a D3 which one of my friends has and I noticed they make a 18*8.5 so it might fit.
http://www.gmaxwheels.com.au/catalogue1.php?id=M168
I have a nice set of 18" wheels and tyres but I don't think I want 19" https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Thanks Chris, by hook or by crook ( most likely stuffed that up, not much chop when it comes to little expressions but ya get the drift) I ll get myself some offroadies, will look into it and see what can be done. Sure ya dont want some barely used, spare slight scuff, 19 inch wheels?? Huh ya sure ??

Don't expect to be able to remove the tyres from the rims though boys (or more to the point, put them back on).
We got two punctures in a RRS with 19" alloys. Managed to get the tyre off with tyre pliers but there was no way it was going back on.
I can't see dropping down to 18" making that much difference either.

Will Land Rover (and Ford) never learn. If you price things like that you don't make more money from selling them, coz you sell fewer of them and drive people to aftermarket suppliers. Those same people then see that aftermarket suppliers are generally more helpful and less expensive than the dealers - meaning future business doesn't go the dealers way either. Net result LR makes less money not more.
$1649 a wheel. What rubbish. Pulled that number outta their fundamental orifice I'd say.
Idiots :!:

Vlad, it is priced for insurance claims.
LR obviously don't expect anyone will want to buy a set of 5 wheels that might be used for off-road. That's for sure because I tried to get a set of the 17" but they were only interested to sell them at the stupid price of $1200 ea. The Dealer could even get LRA to budge on that.
So stuff em and go aftermarket and save heaps.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>I can't see dropping down to 18" making that much difference either.
[/b][/quote]. Hey TuffRR, the main reason for dropping down to 18's is due to the fact that there is a range of AT's and MTR's for 18's/ 255/55/R18s, whereas for my 19 inch rims with 255/55/R19s, there is squat available. Im assuming same for the RRS with 19's. Ive already shafted one of the HP,s already so hence looking to 18's.

Went into a Bob Jane T Mart here on the Sunshine Coast looking for tyres and wheels for my camper. Was Quoted $420/tyre for the Good Year Wrangler HP 18", same as what is on my D3.
Then offered me some recently traded LR D3 18" Wheels and tyres. About 1000km use. Set of 4 original LR D3 Alloys with near new Good Year Wrangler HP 18" tyres - the lot $1800. (they came of an ex-demo model from the local dealer. New owner upgraded to 22" wheels and tyres; over $10,000 change over)
Am putting 2 on the Camper, plus 2 spares on the camper. So will have 6 wheels on the road with 3 spares, all interchangable for those long trips.
For the sort of driving I am doing, the Wrangler HP's will keep me going until something else comes along for the 18" Wheels.

Hey Discomaniac, hmmmm anyone wanna sell there 18's for 17's??? Huh huh. There are quite a few options for the 18's in AT's and MTRs, if you want to be directed to them just let me know, cause as soon as I can get my hands on some suitable 18's that will fit my beasty I will be getting the tyres to go with them. $1800 sounds a lot more digestable than $8k + just for the rims 8O , thanks for the info mate,

Greg you are one arsey bastard. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
What sort of loser gets 22" rims for his Disco ? Surely he'd buy a RRS at the least.....
