Looking to install a duel battery system in the floor well that would have been created for the third row feet area, that effectively is under the floor half filled with foam. There is easily enough room to two 120amp hour batteries. However the floor is only aluminium, hence concerned if the floor will carry the weight long term. Do I need to spread the load with a larger base plate.
Any ideas??

Hi Wassa, I now have a kit for the D5 but this is based on the battery being in the cargo area.

Can you post up some photos of the area you are interested in fitting the batteries.

Scott on the Discovery Sports section has a good thread, showing how he fitted two batteries in what sounds to be a similar set up to your intended one.

Scott's thread may be of help to you.

Will be interested in this setup myself. We are currently pricing up a 5 seater SE and I will definitely need a DBMS to look after the fridge in the cargo area. After living with an Orbital for the last 3 years I am looking for something that will keep the fridge going for much longer than the yellow top can in hot climates. Tim what sort of capacity does your D5 system have please as I can't find anything on your website
