Hi all,
For the last year or so I've found that my transmission seems to hover at around 1900RPM in each gear before continuing to accelerate.
I had the oil changed in the ZF box recently by Fluidrive at about 105k km's, later than I would have liked for its first box oil change, who did the steel pan conversion and assured me they used the proper Lifeguard oil. I doubt they flushed it- I think most oil changes get about 5 of the 14 L out at a time?
I reset with my IID tool, and the problem improved by say 50% for a while but never really went away, and seems now to be back to square one. Coming up through the gears, especially in Drive (its slightly better in sports mode), it 'hovers' at times before continuing to rev.
I checked the transmission oil the other day using the allen plug up on the side of the box - it came out quite clear - not sure if I'm relieved or not - at least if it was skungy or had bits of metal in it I'd have context to the problem and be able to talk to fluid-drive about it.
I called a Land Rover Indi who's about 1 1/4 hrs away who said it could be a torque converter- not sure I know much about this?
I fancy I read something on another forum about a similar problem but can't find it at the minute - I think he improved it by flashing the CPU.. or perhaps use of an additive that can help.
Would any kind AULRO gents be able to throw any advice?
I am located in Bendigo and would welcome any suggestions, advice, links, or recommendations as to who should look at it.
Cheers and thanks,
Jon.
