Hi All,
New member here, and I’ll start by saying I have no idea about Land Rover’s or 4WD’s in general. I drove a mates Discovery once to collect some other parts, the turbo was leaking pressure so it was anemic, and the tire blew out. Got the job done - eventually.
I have however been smitten on the S1 LWB utes for a while - especially since moving out to country Victoria and needing a farm workhorse.
So, in my quest to own an early car (I’m really into my vintage cars), I waited till I found something somewhat affordable and somewhat complete (with little bodywork to do). I also wanted something to use on the farm.
So, here we have the machine. Needs an original motor and tailgate that I can see, but I think it’s a pretty straight example!? I’m told it’s a ‘57.
She’s not with me yet, but should be soon.
No doubt I’ll be way in over my head with it, but it’s going to be a bit of fun at least.
I’m hoping to contribute wherever I can here and share my journey with the forum.
Happy to answer whatever I can.
Patrick
