Hello all,

Is there anyone out there willing to have a look at a potential purchase on my behalf (I'm in Vic)? Vehicle is a 2008 TDV8 RRS in the Claremont area. Preferably someone with solid knowledge of these vehicles and their potential faults (alternator, turbos, auto, suspension bushes, EAS, etc).

I'd need to buy it sight-unseen and shipped across if this was going to happen, so looking for someone to provide an independent assessment (condition, service history, verifying content (ie e-diff) etc). I'd reimburse time spent by whatever means suits best (grog voucher, fuel money transfer, etc).

Thank you.

If can't find someone knowledgeable to run their eye over it, I am happy to take it to a reputable Indy for a check over for you.

Thanks Cripes. That's a very generous offer (and I'll assume you know a good Indy over there)? I'll let you know in the next few days either way. Cheers.

Dave Dover (dovers Automotive) Wangarra would be my Indy pick .

Yep. Have taken a couple of Landies there for inspection and he has been pretty good. Darren (Aztech 4x4) should be able to check it out as well.

Many, many thanks to George for going above and beyond (see what I did there?) and being instrumental in making this happen. A gorgeous Rimini Red TDV8 is now in my possession :) Not the smoothest process and not the easiest seller to deal with but we got there in the end and did pretty well given the distance issues. Vehicle was freighted across (kudos to PrixCar Transport that did a very professional and quality job at a sharp price) and arrived Friday a week ago. Just going through the usual end-to-end pull-through you do when you get a pre-owned car (new belts, hoses, fluids, globes, etc).

Open question to members in the Kilmore region of the world... Does anyone have a set of roadworthy wheels and tyres I could borrow? Have to be 19"+ (or Compomotives) to clear the Brembos. I can swap for the duration with the existing set of 22s which are in good nick (good tread on all, minor (non-functional) sidewall damage on a couple). The short version of the long story is that the vehicle arrived with these not-quite roadworthy tyres and the GOE Compomotives have been delayed repeatedly (ordered before Christmas - originally due in Feb) and latest timing is now mid-late May (I just spoke to a very flu-laden Gordon). I have a nice new set of tyres sitting there for those, and don't really want to go buying 22" tyres just to bridge a gap of a week or two. Can anyone help out?

P.S. Pic of the old girl getting to know the new pup attached :)
