View Full Version : 130 Defender OBD Port - Can it be moved to keep Nanocom plugged in

I have been having overheating - or what I suspect as overheating issues with my 2.4 Puma 130 and going into limp mode on long uphill pulls with my Trayon camper on board.
I have a Namocom but would find it hard to keep it plugged in while driving due to the position of the OBD plug socket in the fuse box just above the pedals.
Has anyone moved this or is is there some way of using a Right Angled plug to enable this to be accommodated safely?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Sure
Just ebay an obd2 extension cable.
Unclipped the defender obd2 port so that you can push inside. Connect the extension and put the dongle on the other end where you want it
I have been doing this for years.

I have a small ultraguage plugged into OBD all the time. It sits nearly on the dash in front of the blank screen on a Defender Puma. Gives engine temp and can set many other monitoring readouts. It also has an alarm for temp, which I have set at 100 degrees - early warning to ease off.
