Are the wing mirrors on the D5 the same as the latest D4, where they curve a bit, whereas the early D4 was straight. I use the Milenico”s on my D4, If they are the same as the late model D4”s, they have a adaptor called a falcon bracket which allows them to fit.

mine is only 2 weeks away, so will be ringing Dometic contact and finding out for sure next week what is required.

have you wired up a brake controller yet ?

If you are looking for towing mirrors hop on to the Bruunsgard website and see if Kel can help you. Excellent quality and service and a great product in the 3 years we have been beating them to pieces

Hi
Which mirrors did you end up getting and are they ok? I am concerned about the curved fairing on the Disco 5. Could they slip off due to not having a good hold on the curvature?
Cheers

Hi Bigday.
I have the Milenco aero mirrors and have had not trouble with them. I only use the driver’s side because my van is the same width as the car. I took them off on the Gibb as I was concerned about the extra weight bouncing on the main mirror on the plentiful corrugations. They weren’t much use with all the dust anyway.

Hi,
I use the Milenco Aero (not Grand Aero) too. If the D5 mirrors are like the RRS, and I think they might be, I find it best to attach the bar for the extension mirrors underneath the car mirror where the surface is flatter rather than on top.

The D5 electric brake controller wiring is already preinstalled (OE) from the rear 12 pin tow socket to the brake pedal.

Just need to add the RedArc controller itself and short wiring loom adapter to the "Ford" socket that already exists near the brake pedal. Much has been said about this in previous AULRO messages. Really simple!!. Not need to paid an autoelec "Ned Kellies" $500-1000 that I was quoted!

I have tried all sorts of tow mirrors, Not happy with ANY of them UNTIL I bought a pair

Brunsgaard Universal Caravan Towing Mirrors (http://universaltowingmirrors.com.au/)on recommendation from another subscriber to AULRO

Totally satisfied, quik and easy to put on after the initial set up. Surprisingly stable with minimal vibration.

By the way a JLR dealer will hand over your job to an Auto Spark. That was what JLR Doncaster was going to do at 4 figures.
AULRO to the rescue again. Finally did it myself!!153991
