Recently Ive noticed exhaust from TDV6 2.7 has an almost sweet soapy "perfume"
Not smokey or using oil and the EGR is blanked

I have been spending more time in Perth than I like and I have been buying Puma diesel. I will see if it goes away when I fill up at the local SW roadhouse

Anyone else noticed this change in odour or is my olfactory system playing up?
Maybe they are sneaking some bio into the blend?

Bio-diesel smells like cooking or bbq, if anything. You do get soap/glycerine when the bio is "cracked", which is a by product, but I doubt if you'd smell it, even if you were burning straight veggie oil. You haven't had the car washed/polished, cleaned the windows after filling, etc?

Is it using small amounts of coolant?

On some occasions my TDv6 used to emit a sweet chemical smell. I put it down to some sort of reaction in the exhaust system. Usually did it when the vehicle was cold in the mornings.
