Replaced Muffler

This morning I have replaced the muffler on the 2a. Not very difficult, and no real problems. Replaced the gasket, although the old one was salvageable. Also replaced all the bolts, nuts and washers.

The old one was not leaking, but it sounded as if we had a built in glockenspiel, especially at idle. I think there is something loose inside! It rattles when you shake it.

Sounds like the baffles have come adrift. Happened to me on a new system fitted to my old Jackaroo, he had to change it 3 times before we got one that didn't rattle like a marble in a steel tin.
