I'm relocating the auto cooler to accommodate an under bar winch. Do I need a Pirtek or Enzed to put the crimped hydraulic style hoses on or can I get away with hose clamps? Is the ATF under high pressure?

If you talk to Enzed or or your local hydraulics people they should be able to sell you "field attachable" fittings (push-lok or similar) that, with the appropriate hose, you can assemble without tools and don't need clamps. Used these when I upgraded my D1 auto cooler to a P38 unit and have not leaked a drop in 4 years.

I have used both screw on hydraulic fittings and push-lok style fittings on different discos. My currant V8/auto D1 has push-lok (without hose clamps) as i too moved trans cooler to make room for the winch.......do dramas with either. The Push-Lok hose is easier to work with.

Yes there is some pressure, no i wouldn't use normal brass barbs and hose clamps.

Do you have a pics or link to push-lok fitting? My local Enzed weren't aware of it. The screw on fitting they offered also had a barb.

They should be. SAE100R6 is the hose they are used with, not sure of the enzed numbering system sorry.
Pic is of a Eaton/Aeroquip fitting, but most would be similar. Can get in brass steel and sometimes stainless.https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2018/02/604.jpg

Google helped, Parker/Enzed hose would be 836 series push-lok. They would have a listing for the fittings somewhere.
