Hi Fellas, Over from Disco 2 forum, does anyone know if somebody has put a 6 speed Getrag onto a TD5.
Was thinking 2006 130 with TD5 and 6 speed for overseas travel later on when I am cashed up maybe.
What do people think is easier to fix Puma or TD5.
All feedback appreciated.

Read some interesting articles about the new disco and the Ford ranger raptor from unsealed4x4 and MR4x4 online magazines. They revealed the trend of smaller bi-turbo diesels with lots of gears which allows them to emulate towing performance of high capacity diesels.

Sparked thoughts of trying to achieve that with the TD5 for me, maybe you're thinking the same way?

I wonder if there's a way of getting like a 6-8 speed auto behind a TD5?

wont stop turbo lag and lack of power pre spool up.

VNT's had their place, partyly driven by things other than performance and they have their down sides.

I think a Td5 with sequential turbo set up would be a bloody great engine. It has great architecture and the unit injectors seem very good.

I'm pretty sure I've seen one on the internet somewhere. Would be really cool.
