Anyone had any surprises when going to get an airlocker fitted

eg: Worn out seals , gears ?

Well wasnt to painful only an extra $100 for new carrier bearings and Crown wheel bolts.

The seals very rarely wear out - almost always an install fault

Pretty unlikely.

Make sure that you like is covered but somthing (condute tubing is what I have), make sure it is well away from heat (this is the biggest killer) or anywhere it will get caught.
Cable tie it the whole way along the break line for example then onto the housing.

For spares - carry a tube joiner, spare piece of tube, a few olives and the brass tube insert.

Pretty reliable really.
