Hi All,

Stumbled across this today... Ex army four by fours land rover unimog (https://www.9news.com.au/national/2018/02/16/13/43/former-army-vehicles-gain-new-lease-of-life-as-off-roaders)

Interesting reading... "General manager Colin Werner said after the company’s mechanics make them roadworthy for civilian use they’re perfect for off-road driving or the commercial sector."

I don't think that everybody has experienced that... [tonguewink]

Cheers,
GG.

I think they're only talking about NSW. The ones auctioned in Minto do have a slip of whatever colour is needed for registration in NSW.
Mine needed very little work for a RWC.

I picked up a very reasonably priced Haulmark at a SA auction.
If you South Ausies were prepared to bid higher, I suspect a few more would be auctioned in your state.

Unimogs went very cheap I heard. About 20k.

I can’t remember where the latest auction was held though

The Mogs (and there were quite a number of them) were in Minto.

If I remember correctly, there were a few Perenties in Adelaide last auction. And No5 trailers.

I really want a Mack but money is an issue...I gave up trying to afford one over 2yrs ago...after chasing them for 12months. Found a (IMO) much better Isuzu county, for less than half the price. Happy with that!! [thumbsupbig]

When I won my Perentie, I was is a biding war against a Sth Aussie.
The Victorian ones went for a very reasonable price. How come you didn't get one?

No to be honest, I am just throwing in the occasional low bid...just watching, seeing how the prices go. A bit of a dilemma...don't really need one...but I do like them...and if one were to go cheap....welllll.....

The purcha$e price of a mog will be the least of your worries - it will be the ongoing maintenance that will co$t you :)

Ok, I just found out.
There was a Mog at the Adelaide auction last week. It reached the dizzy heights of $14k. I'm told the Mogs in NSW got $20k.
I suspect they won't be auctioning another Mog in Adelaide.

Hell of a good buy at $14k.
I certainly dropped the ball on that one.

The No.5 trailers were $309, $309 & $409.
Transport probably cost more.

Don't think Adelaide will be seeing any more trailers either.

Well, the one you know of served at 16AD. My Perentie served at 16AD. I'll keep that one.
The other one I'll keep too. It came with TAC plates. The same TAC plates that are on the 101.

I could always buy another to sell. After I get a FFR.
