PUMA Water Leak

Trying to trace a leak into passenger foot-well - 2011 Defender 110. Happens in heavy rain, vehicle stationary in the carpark. I've tried to replicate it with hose including overflowing A/C intake duct. There is a removable panel under the glove compartment - it reveals a steel angle covered in rust - water goes from there into the foot well.

Anyone else had similar problems? [bighmmm]

With the rain we had I had puddles of water on both the driver and passenger side while stationary. I think it is the door seals.

I had exactly the same, 2010 2.4, water was getting in via the rubber grommet for where the wipers would be if it were left hand drive, hope that makes sense.
You could also try the 3 rubber "teats" located in the heater ducting. I think it's 3, as I fitted a snow cowl ages ago, to stop all the crap blocking up those 3 rubber drains, and haven't had to clean them since.

Both these things can result in water into the passenger footwell, I sealed up the wiper blanks with Butyl Mastic, it's a rubber based compound that forms a firm water tight seal, yet remains soft underneath, used it for heaps of stuff.

Landrover actually produced a water ingress manual, as there are many ways to get wet in a Defender. But sorting out these two areas for me has stopped water in the passenger footwell for over 3 years now......I guess I've now gone and jinxed myself.

Remove the trim on the front pillar. You'll most likely find the leak is from the roof - where the 2 turret pieces meet. The water runs down the pillar and drips on your accelerator foot.
8x out of 10 that's the issue.
LR had an issue with the sealant they used in the panel joint. Manifests itself only in countries where you get big variation in temps, ie SA and Aust.
My 2010 used to leak until I put a roof rack on it and drove it around the country for a year! Not sure if the 50° temps, the load on the rack or the body twisting fixed it....

Mine gets wet roof lining in the front passenger's corner right at the front, particularly after sitting nose down.
I've tried sealing the gutter at the joint with the windscreen, the door seal at that doorstop, the gutter itself and the roof joint. The leak has reduced.
