Alternator compatibility?

Hi, I have a rebuilt alternator from a D3 TDV6 that I carried as a spare.
I now have a 2015 D4 SDV6 and would like to know if the alternators are interchangeable?

The MY10 2.7 alternator wasn't compatible with the MY10 3.0 alternator due to different ecm comms protocols so I wouldn't expect a D3 2.7 alternator to compatible with your current vehicle's.
