I have a spare 6 way electrical connector under the bonnet. It is blanked to a dummy and secured to the plastic top strut cover on the drivers side of the engine bay. Im not sure what its purpose is, but pin 4 (green wire)has 12 v when the ignition is on

Can anyone know the purpose or connector or the connector identifier. Its a 2012 2.2 130

A photo showing the location would be of assistance.

Found time to answer my own question

I trawled the electrical reference library last night and I think the un-used connector is C1559 (Heated O2 sensor)

Looks like pin 4 is powered by fuse 16 Will confirm by pulling the fuse

Could be useful for powering other stuff, depending on size of fuse

Nice, thanks. Do post if you find out more. I have the same connector in the same place. Moved it recently when fitting the nugget stuff sealed air box kit.

Confirmed as C1559 and pin 4 (green wire)is protected by a 5A fuse (Battery Junction F16). Its active when the ignition is on

Im planning to replace headlights with LEDs. The new lights have DRL circuits built in and this connector will easily power them, without need to run new conductors through the bulkhead
