Anybody used the greasable RTC5869/70 that Mario has listed? Getting ridiculous prices quoted for some of these replacements, both genuine and after market. Thanks.

Hi mate, firstly we are very particular what parts we offer for sale as we don't need come backs and warranty claims. Those tie rods we have been selling for many years with out issues and I have been confident to offer them to forum members and have sold them to forum members over the years, we also sell more expensive ones but usually the more expensive ones are not greaseable they are sealed for life. We find that customers for some reason prefer ones with grease nipples and want to pay little.,

That's very good of you, johntins! Freight is expensive, but it just has to be spread across each part, so then not so bad.

The other thing is: I would hate for you to get stopped at the Airport in Bangkok, as they have clamped up on many things the last couple of years, and most bags are now x-rayed on arrival.

Yep. I fitted a set of them a couple of years ago. No problems with them at all - in fact, I've never had a problem with anything from Mario and Heather!

Surely they allow auto parts if declared? However, like you, I do not wish to fall foul of Thai Customs.... If it turns out that it's OK, and you want them, I'll bring 'em. I travel light to Thailand, so baggage weight isn't an issue. You would just need to get to Sukhumvit Rd. Or Kanchanburi.

Yes. Dawn Service at Hellfire Pass, and the 11:00 Service at the War Grave Cemetery at Kanchanburi. My father in law will be giving possibly his last address there. He is the only one left out of the Association that can make the trip, although there may be other survivors who were never a part of the Association.

We always seem to stay at the Royal Benja, on Soi 5. Which direction on the Sky train is 48? Or does the train not get there? I would brave Bangkok's lunatic busses, or the canal boats, to get them to you.
