OK me and Phil (discowhite) are going to Yalwal for the weekend and camping at the council camping area next to the weir, it's the first camp before the dam.

Anyone is welcome to join us, we are arriving friday arvo.

Last minute i know but weren't sure if we were going or not.

Baz.

Only a short drive to Canberra on Sunday from Yalwal https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

No worries mate, it is short notice i know, we are buying a house and going through the building and pest inspection and finding out whether it's OK, thats the reason for the late notice.

That's not much of an excuse. I haven't been to one since I was a kid. I refused all invitations to Christenings of any of my six sister's or three brother's kids (and anyone elses) and my kids aren't Christened, either.

I wouldn't waste my time and/or petrol going to one. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Actually, I'm not even sure if I went to any of my sister's or brother's weddings, either. No, I lie. I went to my twin sister's first wedding back in the 60's.

I don't go to family get-togethers either.

Is the Yarramunmun trail back open?
Id love to get back down there.

Last time I was there, Shoalhaven council had put a locked gate up.

Thanks

Dave

We had a good relaxing weekend, and apart from some noisey neighbors that liked load music, after a polite request from Kerry 8O (amazing i know) they were quite for a while, so a few choice words from me   and Phil, and a threat of an EPA FINE, all was good on saturday night.

The Yarramunmun is a great track, a bit over grown in parts so plenty of bush pinstripes are available if you do this track, only downer was a bent track rod which i caught on a log https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ in hinesight i should of cut it with the chainsaw but Phil got over it and the last time we were there (2 weekends ago) we got over it fine, still all is good and we straightened it there using the winch and some bloke leverege https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

A good weekend.

Damn, the Yarramunmun looks like a totally different track from last year 8O
You nearly could've driven it in a car when we did it. Ace will attest to that.
Good to hear it's open again, if I had've seen this thread last Friday I would've come out for a couple of hours.
I'm hanging to get out, it's been a while. With the problems Rosemary's given me since Xmas
She's all good now

Did you do the track down to the steep hill that goes across the creek to Mint bush track, or did you do from the camp grounds to Braidwood Rd and up to the falls, thats still an easy track.

Oh, we did the one to Braidwood road. Unfortunately the Canbera guys were towing campers and looking to get settled that arvo so we did the straight run through. Except we did it from Braidwood road to Yalwal.
Next time you're down here let me know, although I'm fairly busy at the moment I'd love to catch up again.

From Braidwood Rd to Yalwal about 3/4 of the way along you turn off the main track and cut across and down into the yalwal valley and acros the creek to mint bush where there is a small campsite.
