Doesn’t anyone near Brisbane have a new turbo core/CHRA for a TD5 ‘99 ? . Snapped a bolt on the oil return line and need a new one ASAP. Was saving for an uprated one from the UK but need one by tomorrow ! (If the price is affordable).
Thanks. Josh.

Surely would be cheaper to drill out the broken bolt. Even to pay an engineer shop to do it for you.

Yea, was just deciding that. There is some wear in the bearing. But thinking The wear may not be as bad as I thought. Might “just whip it off” and get it drilled.
Thanks.

Most times we think the wear is excessive but we have to remember there needs to be enough room for a cushion of oil.if you can put sideways pressure on the shaft and it clears the housing should be useable

Thanks for the replies. Pulled it and had it drilled/tapped.
Turbo people think the turbines inside have too much resistance when turned by hand, so maybe a turbo core will be my bday present. But up and running for now!
