Gearbox

Sorry another lt95 question .

after an oil change my gearbox feels great ....then after 500-1000 (tel:500-1000) ks it starts to get notchy and hard to select gears , This has happened the last 3 oil changes now ( short oil change intervals)

Would I know if the oil pump has packed it in ? All I can think of is , Somehow pumping oil into the fill hole is lubricating something that lasts around 500 ks .

Anyone have some more logical ideas ?

First I tried Rx super , the mechanic used magnatec , now I'm on Rx diesel , the Rx diesel in there now .. Made the gearbox feel great for a while ... Like a new gearbox , But now back to clunky

I have actually used a 10w30 in a classic rr in the cold winters down here...

Thanks, I think I might give that a go ....just strange how it's great for a short time ...I did make a couple of trips up Poatina hill


What brand of oil did you use ?
