return lines 300tdi

I have just noticed that on 1,2 and 3 cylinder there are 2 return lines on the injectors but on 4 there is only 1. There is provision for 2 but one is naked-on the firewall side. Is this normal or has something fallen off?

Mine's the same.

I've wondered about that for a while. Hope someone has an answer.

Gentlemen - that's because it is the "return" line - starts at 4, through 3,2,1 and back to the tank. The naked end is blocked.
