Wiper interfering with radio reception

Every time the wiper moves, I get a bit of white noise on the radio. Anyone know what causes this, and more importantly, how to fix it?

That sort of thing indicates a bad earth at the antenna mounting. I fixed a RRC with a similar problem last week by clamping an additional earth wire to the base of the antenna with a stainless steel hose clamp, then running it to a suitable body screw nearby.

Also you can run a suppressor capacitor (like found on some ignition coils) attached to the power lead of the wiper motor.

Have the suppressors on the motor come adrift? I had to fix a Perentie wiper motor that had the suppressor chokes break off.
