Would anybody in the Southwest of Sydney be able to pick up a seat from Grays auctions at Minto, and bring it down to Cooma for me. Pick up times are next Monday and Tuesday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. It is a big ask I know, but if someone can do it, I would really appreciate it.
Cheers,
Mick.

Mick,
Hello from Brisbane.
If you can’t get a complete pick up and transport to Cooma, but someone living close to the M31 could pick up the seat from the auctioneers in Minto and hold it for collection then I might be able to help out. At this stage I should be travelling through to Canberra next Thursday en-route to Cooma.
I have to pick up some gear in Singleton on Thursday morning and will probably go on to Canberra via Sydney rather than backtracking through Mudgee and Bathurst.
Let’s see what comes up and plan it from there.
How big is the seat?
Cheers,
Neil

Thanks Neil, I'll see what happens. It is a drivers seat. Can pick up on Wednesday now as well.

Mick,
Might be putting the cart before the horse - need a collector and holder first.
But a quick question - is the seat a single piece unit with a combined back and squab or is it made up of separate cushions like a Series? I have no real familiarity with Land Rovers past Series 3.
Cheers,
Neil

Mick,
Hello again.
Is a Thursday pick up beyond possibility?
Grays is fairly close to the M31 which I would be travelling down.
Timing might still be an issue because I won’t leave Nundle until around 9:00am and have the pick up in Singleton to sort out. Traffic into and out of Sydney may be pretty ordinary in terms of getting to Minto before 4:00pm.
May still be worth trying.
Cheers,
Neil

Mick,
Hello again.
I have changed my travel plans for getting to Cooma since I posted the previous message. I will stay over in Singleton on the Wednesday night to get an early start for Canberra/Cooma on Thursday morning.
This means that I could be driving past Minto a few hours earlier than I had been previously thinking. So, if Grays will agree to hold the pickup over until Thursday we might be able to make this work without having to rely on a local to collect and hold the seat. No one has come forward so far offering to do so anyway.
Best to check with them on Monday to see if Thursday is OK. If it is then all’s well and good. If it isn’t then I might take a different route to bypass Sydney.
Cheers,
Neil

Thanks for wanting to help, Neil. I have decided that I will just get it freighted home.
Cheers,
Mick.

It's all good. Ron. I think we would have struggled to bring it home from Cooma anyway. How was your visit to the dish?
Cheers,
Mick.
