What a beautiful beast it was. I watched from a London rooftop as the last three BA Concordes came in to land at Heathrow in 2003. Still gets me a little bit, recalling it.

I remember in the early 2000’s I was walking across the Qantas ramp on my way to the Simulator Centre, and Concorde was parked outside one of the hangars where a mate of mine worked. I was lucky he was on duty, and I got free, unlimited access to it for about 30 mins.
The flight deck was ‘snug’ to say the least.
What a wonderful aircraft for the time it was built :)

When I got close to it, I was surprised at how small it was.

I was surprised the cockpit smelt like an old aircraft, hydrolic oil and leather.
