Roof colour options

Hi
The roof of my 2010 Defender needs a
Respray and was considering painting it white rather than going with the current body colour (Stornaway grey).

Not sure how this would look, so was wondering if anyone has done this before and could share photos of what the grey with white roof looks like. Interested to know what colour white has been used.

Standard (almost the only one for nearly ten years) colour scheme for Series 2/2a lwb in Australia! (Different shade of grey and limestone, not white though)

So a very traditional colour scheme.

They made the roof white to reflect the heat. Then people went and got all limp-wristed about colour coordination and other crap, so practicality went out the window!
Try sitting in a white-roofed car in the sun, as compared to any darker colour - big difference (especially in the days before aircon!

The reason mine has a white roof.
Personally i dont like how it looks. Mine is red with white roof. Have seen the same as mine with black roof , guards , chequer plate etc and its a head turner.
I wonder how it would be black but then with a full frontrunner or similar rack. Kind of like an old tropical roof.

My 12’ 90 was all black and my 16’ 90 has a white roof (with Keswick body and white steel rims, classic combination) definitely a lot cooler in the sun!

Aesthetically for your body colour I would definitely choose the black, looks fantastic!

I have a very dark Niagra? grey RRC with a silver roof which looks ok. It is the "light" original style silver, not one of the more modern darker tints.

I call it "old boy silver" whenever the elderly fabricate something they paint it that silver! [tonguewink][tonguewink]
