Hi All, I have the Britpart RTC3176 Replacement Brake Adjuster Kit. I was wondering if anyone has any experience fitting it ?

I am finding the instructions that came with the RTC3176 kit are quite confusing, and the springs in the kit seem ridiculously strong, I doubt I would be able to push the adjusting pin through the spring and backplate and washers etc.

My original adjusters actually see quite reasonable, and so I am contemplating leaving well enough alone.

Any comments or suggestions ?

Thanks
John

Having fitted an aftermarket kit some years back I would stick to the originals.

I fitted the Britparts kit to my 80" and I still don't know how I did it!

The second kit I bought went in the bin.

I think for worn adjusting-cams, it would be best to build the teeth up with weld and file them to shape. This might involve machining a new post, but it would be better than the useless kit,

Cheers Charlie

Cheers CharlieThanks guys, much appreciate the input, I'll stick with the originals. I'm only on the rears so far so hopefully my fronts will be usable as well.

Cheers
