Hi Land Rover gurus this is my first post and looking for advice.
The Front Diff Bearing in my 2010 Freelander 2 (2.2 diesel) apparently has failed and I am looking for a place in Perth that can fix it without killing me on repair costs.
Any suggestions on mechanics would be good.
Cheers

Hi Slorde,
Probably your best and likely cheapest, is to contact TRS in Adelaide for a used one (they give a warranty). And find a local LR indy to fit it. My local guy did one on an Evoque once, that had been run on it's space saver for too long. When I saw him he grumbled a bit as he does not like Freelanders too much, but in the end admitted it was not too difficult. He services our FL2 now also. Forgot to say to get it checked first, to make sure that it is the problem and not something more simple like noisy tyres or wheel bearing?

Thanks Joe. Good tip. Can I ask who your local LR guy is.

My local might not help unless you want an 8000km round trip as I live in Vic. Sorry!

Meant to say is that there must be a few over in WA, try asking on some other Pinnacles spot unless some other FL2 member has any ideas.

Ha thanks Joe. I’m off to see a couple of likely lads who are a bit closer. Cheers
